The XQD card is the primary non-tethered file destination and with 400mb/s is fast enough to handle the fastest shooting the IQ4 can offer with no data buffering. It was easy enough to shoot your card full of images, and if you had a laptop handy, you could eventually download the card there so you could treat the files stored on the computer as your ‘originals’ and the files still on the CF card were your backup, until you could replicate the data a 3rd time on the computer to a separate hard drive and you could feel reasonably safe making use of that CF card for new images.The IQ4 provides myriad backup solutions at the time of shooting. NEW FEATURE: File Storage/ Data Redundancy OptionsShooting in the field always provided a challenge for adequate data redundancy. As we have time to play with this feature more, we’ll be able to recommend workflows and in what circumstances this workflow can replace neutral density use. Frame averaging in post-process has been a thing for a while, but this process will not be generating 1000, 150mp images to export and wrangle in software.
